The successful candidate will work as part of the Operations function and his/her main du-ties will be to oversee the day-to-day delivery of reporting services on behalf of group en-tities and clients, as well as to optimise process and create a robust control framework. Reporting services will include Emir REFIT, Mifir, MIFID II, SFTR, CSDR (…) transaction reporting. The candidate will be responsible for the management of a small team, as well as having BAU responsibility for ensuring adherence to robust process and controls. The role includes responsibility for ensuring the timely and accuracy of reporting, remediation, monitoring the regulatory landscape, and the management of internal and external rela-tionships.

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Take overall responsibility in the supervision of the Collateral Management of the bank against the market counterparties (including Quintet affiliates) or against clients; propose collateral changes and take measures to ensure that the bank’s exposure is sufficiently covered at any time whilst improving the level of Quintet’s Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), in cooperation with the Risk department; supervise the performance of the requested Middle Office controls including, but not limited to, IRS reconciliation, FX positions reconciliation between Kondor+ and the Accounting system, …); 
  • Successful delivery of reporting services to regulators, clients, third parties as required;
  • Continually challenge processes and implement robust control environment (including KPRIs, dashboards) and work to remedy failing, missing or inadequate controls;
  • Full transparency and escalation of E&Os, providing remediation and preventive assurances;
  • Ensure adequate risk monitoring. Produce, analyse and communicate reports to to Group Operations Management;
  • Coordinate transversal analyses and projects involving various departments in the Bank and its external stakeholders to ensure compliance with new regulations in the Global markets areas whilst maintaining an acceptable level of risk and ensuring the maximal efficiency.
  • Oversee the work of other members to ensure the highest standards are met, providing suitable training and development programs to ensure continuing competency and knowledge sharing;
  • Ensure maintenance and appropriate evolution of detailed procedures and operating model documentation; 
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge relating to applicable regulations, consultations guidance and industry best practice;
  • Build and manage effective relationships with all internal stakeholders, partners and provide oversight of vendor partners;
  • Attend key industry and supplier events to obtain market practices on both regulatory changes and possible solutions.
     

Knowledge and Experience

 

  • Excellent detailed knowledge Luxembourg bank-ing/financial regulations, and namely the transposal into Luxembourg Law of the EU Directives related to collateral management and regulatory reportings (EMIR REFIT, MiFir, SFTR…), as well as of other Compliance principles;
  • Experience in all instrument classes across a wide range of markets;
  • Very good knowledge of the risks related to the fi-nancial markets activities and the risk framework as-sociated (RCSA, incident reporting,…);
  • Proven ability to analyse current and future regulato-ry requirements and translate them into practical applications;
  • Prior experience of managing a team;
  • Experience of working on regulatory reporting and business-wide projects;
  • Established network within the regulatory working space;
  • Proven track record: At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in banking activities, including several experiences in different operational departments.
