We are seeking a talented Business Manager to drive operational efficiency and strategic growth within Brown Shipley. The Business Manager will play an integral role, working as part of the Business Management function providing direct support to the Private Bank and the broader Executive Committee (ExCo).
Key Accountabilities
The key responsibility is to lead and support on the commercial and strategic objectives of the Private Bank. This will include deliverables relating to ongoing Business Management / 'Run the Bank' activities, and also specific strategic and project related initiatives that are critical to the growth and development of our business.
The role reports to the Head of Business Management (HoBM) and will be part of a wider business management and support/change function that supports the Executive Committee deliver on the overall business plan and associated activities focused on client, colleague and commercial themes.
Summary of Responsibilities:
a) Operational - this is an operational role requiring internal teamwork and supporting the HoBM, the Heads of Private Bank Regions and the wider ExCo to deliver their commercial and strategic objectives
b) Support the HoBM and Regional Heads to develop and implement BSCo’s key commercial initiatives across investment, wealth planning and banking units.
c) Target Operating Model (TOM) - work closely with HoBM and Regional Heads to continue to design, evolve and implement the TOM
d) Sales Management Support – monitoring initiatives, team activity, collating, preparing and analysing MI where required
e) Strategic Documentation - preparation and design of strategic documentation and reporting required for presentation at senior / group / Board committees
f) Stakeholder Management - manage a wide variety of key relationships across Brown Shipley and Quintet Group. Will act as a key point of contact for Front Office teams across UK.
g) Process Efficiency - to liaise with Front Office line and senior management to identify the relevant mitigating actions to improve process efficiency in the Front Office and to contribute actively to the creation of actions/solutions to the inefficiencies identified, working across departments as required.
h) Project & Change implementation - to support and implement ongoing change within the Front Office, including support of Target Operating Model implementation and improvement.
i) Culture & Behaviour – to help develop and sustain a team culture built upon the Quintet Group’s Behaviours.
j) Personal Development – to develop own professional expertise through on the job training, formal training and, where appropriate, professional qualifications.
k) Conduct Risk – maintain allocated 1st line conduct controls at all times.
l) General – carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required.

Strong knowledge of UK Private Banking and Wealth Management market, including relevant understanding of core products and services
