Senior Financial Controller
Job Summary

The successful candidate will lead the Financial Control team within Brown Shipley, ensuring accurate financial information is provided for the company to all interested stakeholders, while making certain the first line control environment is of the highest standard. He/she will also have the tremendous opportunity to grow in the role, assuming additional responsibilities over defined time period to become CFO designate 



1.Financial control – day to day management of processes, controls, reconciliations and documentation thereof
2.Financial reporting – monthly management accounts for Exco and Quintet. Annual financial statements (managing audit process)
3.Management information – daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly MI production and analysis for the business
4.Business planning and managing budgets
5.Manage the companies Tax compliance reporting (VAT, Corporation Tax etc.)
6.Manage payroll, FTE and staff cost accounting/reporting
7.To act as Procurement correspondent for Brown Shipley when reporting to Group and actively seek to challenge and reduce general admin costs.
8.Manage the financial content of the ICAAP document and contribute to the other elements of the process.
9.Carry out any other responsibility as may reasonably be required

Qualifications / Experience

Qualified Accountant with extensive post-qualification experience.
Wealth Management/Private Banking background is essential
Experienced in the management and development of teams

Technical Skills

IFRS Accounting
SAP experience
Proficient Excel knowledge
Process re-engineering


Fluent in English and any other European languages would be advantageous
