Regulatory Reporting Accountant

Brown Shipley are now seeking a Regulatory Reporting Accountant to join the team based in London, just a few minutes walk from Bank tube station.

Key Accountabilities

1. Production of regulatory data for the UK regulators and the European Banking Authority (EBA) including reporting of a regulatory nature to Quintet and to BSCo management. This includes regular data items and input into CSSF returns, the ILAAP, Recovery and Resolution Plan and any other regulatory documents. 
Amendment of data within the regulatory reporting system.
Completion of analytical review explaining key movements.
Development of robust improvements and additional spreadsheet controls and reconciliations.
2. Assisting the Regulatory Projects and Reporting Manager in project work and other ad-hoc analysis and testing. The projects will include ensuring compliance to regulatory rules and changes and enhancing existing processes and reporting. 
Liaison with IT (at Quintet and LO) to raise development and support requests, specify, develop and test solutions.  On-going support and improvement of processes implemented.
3. Participating in user acceptance testing for software developments and software upgrades to assist in the production of the returns and the calculation of key regulatory data.
This work will include the identification and reporting of issues, liaising with developers and software vendors to resolve issues and documentation of manual processes as required.
4. Special/ad-hoc regulatory requests - completion of the returns, creation of procedures and hand over of these returns to the rest of the team as instructed by the Regulatory Projects and Reporting Manager.
5. Assist with client money transfers and documentation
6. Maintenance of procedures relating to regulatory reporting and documentation of interpretations, assumptions and compliance with regard to regulatory rules and guidance.
7. Act as 1st line of defence within the Finance department
Contribute to the update and testing of the Risk Assessment Control Matrix for Regulatory Reporting.
Contribute to internal audit, external audit and compliance monitoring reviews.
8. To develop own professional expertise through on the job training, formal training and the review of the EU legal instruments, EBA and UK regulators guidance and other publically available information

Expert – Regulatory reporting in a small/medium sized bank
Experienced – Regulatory change implementation/systems configuration
Experienced – Use of an industry standard regulatory reporting package
