Sustainable Investing Strategist (Content)

Purpose of the Job / Objectives

The successful candidate will work as part of the CIO function and will contribute to the Group’s sustainable investing operations / team with a focus on thought leadership and content creation.

Quintet operates in 50 European cities. This job’s location is flexible.

1. Lead Quintet’s sustainable and impact investing research philosophy and written content. Innovate with market-moving thought leadership pieces on asset flow, political, data, regulatory, and industry topics. Envision the future through written thematic investment reports. And drive sustainable product adoption through strategy and product primers and brochures.
2. Contribute to the wider CIO’s research franchise, partner with the Asset Allocation, Macro team, Bond and Equity teams. Embed high quality sustainable investing processes, methodologies, and data throughout Quintet’s investment and research process.
3. Operate as a centre of excellence and knowledge on sustainable and impact investing topics. Contribute to the Quintet’s credibility in this area and support and develop fellow analysts and client advisors’ understanding of sustainable and impact investing.
4. Conceptualize and innovate Quintet’s client communications partnering with Marketing and Group Product and Services functions to design innovative, engaging, and credible pre- and after-sales, as well as product and portfolio reporting.
5. Design a scalable and robust request-for-proposal / client response process to serve the needs of private clients and support Quintet’s client advisors. Design a scalable and robust process to support families seeking to establish sustainable / impact investing charters and frameworks.
6. Drive an internal communication strategy, owning the group’s sustainable and impact investing training, internal updates, and management communications.
7. Be a functioning member of the Sustainable and Thematic Investing team, contributing to team strategy, presentations, and client requests.

Required Knowledge and Experience

Significant sustainable investing knowledge (5-10 years) on topics such as the financial case for ESG integration; the measurement and implementation of impact investing; the advantageous and limitations of sustainable data providers; measurement and implications of ESG-related fund flows. This position is not focused on day-to-day single-stock ESG integration.
Evidence of commercial research on either buy- or sell- side, with an engaged readership base on relevant industry-level topics
Deep understanding of sustainable investing initiatives (i.e. UN PRI, SASB, GIIN).
Experience of working within wealth and / or asset management (5-10 years).

Technical Skills

Solid understanding of the MS Office suite.
Familiarity with financial software (Bloomberg, Eikon, FactSet etc.).
Experience with sustainable data providers with an understanding of their granular methodologies and potential IT integration.
Coding knowledge (i.e. Python, Matlab, VBA) an advantage.

Language Skills

Fluent in English. Fluency in other European languages an advantage.
