Purpose of the Job

We are looking to hire a junior / mid-level general banking lawyer from an in-house financial services team or from a top tier law firm with previous experience of topics relevant to the private banking and FIM business. This is an excellent opportunity to join the small InsingerGilissen local legal team, within the Group Legal Function. The role supports the local Dutch management team with Dutch legal advice on general private banking and fund topics and is part of the Group Legal Function. The lawyer will work within the Group Legal Function, closely collaborating with legal team colleagues across Europe and the UK to provide a combined view of legal advice and support on projects. There will also be the opportunity to work on Group projects across the Group.

Key Accountabilities

Provide good quality legal advice on a broad range of topics to enable Quintet to identify, manage and report legal risk.
Proactively engage with stakeholders to demonstrate value add of having a lawyer involved early with key matters concerning client management.
Manage own workload of general banking / FIM / wealth management work
Pro-actively engage with the business / stakeholders
Work within the Group Legal Team collaborating with colleagues across Europe and the UK on common topics, adopting common approach and adopting best practice

Knowledge and Experience

2 to 5 years of experience as Dutch qualified lawyer with in-house financial services experience in the Netherlands (preferably with financial/credit regulation experience in the area of a private client business) or from a top tier law firm in the Netherlands with expertise in private banking matters
Knowledge of Dutch banking laws and regulations (including laws relating to deposit taking, investment services and consumer lending)
Knowledge and experience of advising on DNB / AFM regulatory framework
Excellent technical drafting skills
