Portfolio Support Manager

Purpose of the Job

 

The Portfolio Support Manager is primarily responsible for implementing investment decisions in centrally managed discretionary investment portfolios and other standardized portfolios or investment funds assigned to the Investment Management Team. As such, the Portfolio Support Manager supports the Investment Management team in translating investment decisions into portfolios as accurately as possible. The Portfolio Support Manager is part of the local Investment Management team at InsingerGilissen in Amsterdam as well as part of the broader Investment Management team within Quintet.

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Implementing transactions in centrally managed investment models and portfolios in close collaboration with the portfolio managers within Investment Management with a high level of accuracy. Good understanding of the investment policy and decisions made by the (Quintet) Group Asset Allocation Committee, the Local Investment Meeting, other relevant forums with investment specialists. Adherence to control mechanisms, ‘four-eyes principle’ tasks with the aim to keep errors to an absolute minimum
  • Active participation in meetings and engagement and collaboration with portfolio managers within the local Investment Management Team and with other investment specialists within InsingerGilissen / Quintet and with colleagues from the Front Office
  • Initiate, own  and collaborate on process improvements where possible.
  • Contribute to tasks related to Investment Support and Investment Reporting by creating or maintaining recurring reports on portfolio-allocations, performance statistics, investment risk etc. for both the Group CIO or IM function as well as within InsingerGilissen
  • Contribute to ongoing or ad-hoc Projects for Quintet and/or InsingerGilissen by supporting the Project Group, providing information to the Project, attend meetings, follow-up on assigned actions, highlighting blocking points, engage in solving issues etc.

Knowledge and Experience

 

  • Education HBO/Bachelor degree at minimum
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in investment environment
  • Above-average knowledge and interest regarding efficient and effective use of systems (hard- and software)
  • DSI registration (or aspire to obtain)

Languages Skills

 

  • Conversational, preferable fluent in English. 
  • Dutch is an advantage
