The successful candidate will work as part of the Regulatory Finance function for the Group, at the Accounting and Control department. He/she will be part of the team in charge of the day-to-day general bookkeeping, accounting controls, monitoring the result evolution and other tasks for the Bank and its branches across Europe.
 

Key Accountabilities

  • Monthly and annual closing. Records non automated entries (provisions, pension plan, tax, staff costs adjustments, etc.) and perform controls. 
  • Be in charge of the day-to-day management of all aspects of accounting, including accounts payable, general ledger management (fees & interest revenues, amortization, impairment and cost management), follow-up of internal accounts and maintaining software. 
  • Act as contact for all accounting matters to senior management, peers and other finance and risk stakeholders across Quintet Group.
  • Meet all regulatory and internal business requirements in due time and ensure compliance of the accounting with IFRS and Group valuation rules, in close cooperation with the Finance teams and in case with software providers.
  • Collaborate or interact directly with internal and external auditors.
  • Close collaboration with MIS/FP&A, participate with management and follow up of operating expenses and related provisions.
  • Contribute to improve the technical and operational processes, to analyse the impact of new or modified accounting standard.
  • Ensure processes, procedures and policies are continuously up to date.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the monthly VAT reports

Knowledge and Experience

 

  • 3+ years of post-secondary education in accounting, finance, business administration or a comparable qualification
  • Good knowledge of banking regulation.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting/finance in banks.

Technical Skills

 

  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Knowledge of banking regulation and experience with Regulatory Reporting
  • Good understanding of the accounting tools, banking systems  and Office Suite.

Languages Skills

 

  • Fluent in French and English
