Depositary Bank Oversight Senior Officer

Purpose of the Job

 

Acting as a trusted partner for more than 400 Investment Sub-Funds (representing 18 Bln€ assets under depositary), with increasing focus on Alternative business (240 Sub-Funds), Quintet Luxembourg offers a comprehensive range of Depositary Bank services with teams specialized in alternative assets (private equity, private debts, real estates and infrastructure) and traditional assets (i.e. equities, bonds, Funds or derivatives).
The Senior Officer of Depositary Bank Oversight is responsible for cash flow monitoring and the oversight duties, including the due diligences on Fund’s stakeholders. 
 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Drive initial and ongoing assessments of the risks associated to the nature, scale and complexity of the fund’s strategy and the organization of the Investment Fund Manager to define how to apply Depositary function appropriately.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory Depositary requirements related to Safekeeping, Recordkeeping, Cash Flow Monitoring and Oversight.
  • Perform the monitoring of the fund’s cash flows and the oversight on the duties under the responsibility of the Funds Manager and its delegates, including due diligence and on-site visit processes.  
  • Prepare internal and external reporting to provide regular status on the Depositary controls and activities.
  • Acting as point of contact for all depositary matters and for any issues escalated to Depositary Bank Oversight.
  • Participate in team development activities and transversal projects impacting the scope of the Depositary Bank.

Knowledge and Experience

 

  • Strong knowledge of Luxembourg Investment Fund Legislation and depositary duties/responsibilities in particular related to AIFM and UCITS V Directives.
  • Strong understanding about Fund’s key stakeholders (Central Administrations, Registrar, Management Company) and its activities.
  • Previous Depositary Bank Oversight experiences is an asset.

  • Fluent in French and English is required. Additional language (e.g. German, Dutch) will be considered as an asset.
