Acting as a trusted partner for more than 400 Investment Sub-Funds, Quintet Luxembourg offers a comprehensive range of Depositary Bank services with teams specialized in alternative assets (private equity, private debts, real estates and infrastructure) and traditional assets (i.e. equities, bonds, Funds or derivatives). Within the Depositary team, the Depositary Officer will contribute to the monitoring of alternative assets, cash flow monitoring activities, and the performance of Depositary oversight controls over fund stakeholders, including Fund Managers, Fund Administrators and other delegated service providers.

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Perform the monitoring of alternative assets, including the review and processing of transactions based on supporting documentation (pre- and post-trade), application of the look-through principle, verification of asset ownership, and maintenance of accurate and complete records.    
  • Monitor daily Fund cash flows, including reconciliation against Fund records, identification and investigation of significant or unusual cash movements, and timely escalation of exceptions in line with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.                    
  • Perform Depositary oversight duties over Fund Managers and delegated service providers, including due diligence reviews and ongoing oversight controls covering valuation, income distribution, investment compliance, timely settlement, subscriptions and redemptions.            
  • Assist in the review of fund legal documentation, including offering documents and constitutive documents, to support Depositary oversight activities.                                
  • Prepare internal and external reporting to provide regular status on the Depositary controls and activities                    
  • Support the team in maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures, and contribute to internal projects, process improvements, and oversight framework enhancements.

Knowledge and Experience

 

  • Higher Education (University / Bachelor)

Technical Skills

 

  • Understanding of Luxembourg investment funds and the role of a Depositary Bank within the fund industry                        
  • Knowledge of AIF structures and alternative asset classes (Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Estate, Infrastructure)                
  • Ability to review legal, financial, and transaction documentation.    
  • Good communication skills, able to interact confidently with client
  • MS Office suite
