Group Head of Portfolio Management

Purpose of the Job

By joining this team, you will be reponsible for driving the centrally driven strategy/ recommended portfolios for discretionary portfolios across the group, but also for performance for house model portfolios, flagship funds (with ICS Heads), personal and bespoke recommended models. You will also be asked to lead, manage and co-ordinate regular cycle of portfolio construction meetings that fully integrates the group research process, recommended vehicles, investment risk framework and clearly defined local entity requirements. You will also be in charge of driving both the BAU process and centralisation of implementation process for flagship products, and to develop and integrate the ESG policy into investment strategy.
Key Accountabilities
Strategy Formulation
- Generation and management of house model portfolios to dive core/ personal/ bespoke discretionary strategy
- Integration of functional view (research/ strategy/ ESG/ investment risk) into process and proposals
- Drive proposed solutions for defined local requirements (from ICS heads) for discretionary portfolio strategy
Performance
- Delivery of performance vs objectives for recommended house model portfolios. This covers model portfolios across risk profiles for core and personal, together with specific required bespoke portfolios
- Performance of flagship products (in conjunction with ICS Heads)
Process Ownership & Development
- Management of cycle of portfolio construction meetings on a monthly basis that cover the house model process (core/ personal/ bespoke templates) and flagship fund positioning
- Development of processes for the centrally driven processes around core/ personal/ bespoke investment strategy
- Development and ownership of investment risk framework
- Development and integration of ESG framework into portfolio construction and strategy
- Development of implementation processes for flagship funds
Team Management & Oversight
- Team Management & Oversight for the Portfolio Strategy Team, Investment Risk, ESG, Fund Management & Manco Services
- Leadership, management, engagement, and development of team heads
- Development of culture within the team to ensure engagement, development and encourage contribution
Contribution to Transformation & Projects
- Contribution to key transformation projects in areas including the centralisation of flagship fund management to The Fund Management team in Luxembourg, Offering Implementation, and Investment Management etc.
- Governance & Oversight
- Group Investment Committee member
- Manage and drive the Quintet Investment Risk Forum and development of the Investment Risk Framework
- Management of portfolio strategy within legal/ regulatory/ internal limits (guidelines and risk parameters)
- Contribution to the development of company policies covering the Group Investment Policy/ Responsible and sustainable policies etc.
Fund Management & Implementation
- Management of flagship products in KTL in line with recommended investment strategy and within all internal and external guidelines
- Work with the transformation team on the centralisation of flagship funds and asset management products
- Development of implementation processes to improve robustness and effectiveness as we increase AUM and capacity into centralised processes
Communication
- Work with Investment Research and communication team to drive and deliver communication strategy for flagship product range
- Development of ongoing communication material for the house and flagship strategy to support in both internal and external materials
- Centre of excellence in the group for supporting client advisors in generating and maintaining AUM
Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in financial markets
- Subject Matter Expertise and experience in multi asset portfolio management
- Career focused on investments in either Asset Management/ Wealth Management/ private Banking (or a combination)
- Experience in management of teams (ideally cross border)
- Experience in leading and participation in Investment Committees and Executive/ Management Committees
