The successful candidate will work as part of a new team created for Private Equity in the Cash and Securities Transactions department. The job is to handle all operational tasks linked to Private Equity Assets (capital calls, distributions, repayments, management fees, redemptions) for our clients (Private clients / Institutional clients / Branches and affiliates). The Private Equity Officer will be in charge of the accurate booking and evaluation of the assets and ensure close follow-up of all the transactions for Private Equity assets.
Key Accountabilities
- Participates in all activities related to the Private Equity operations done for our clients (Private / Professional)
- Participate in the set-up of the new department for Private Equity and provide constructive input
- Work in close collaboration with all departments involved in Private Equity business (Funds Trad-ing, Securities Transfer, Reconciliation department, Securities Master File) to ensure the accu-racy, timeliness and completeness of all transactions related to Private Equity
- Close follow-up and regular chasing of counterparties and Transfer Agents to collect all infor-mation and contract notes relating to the transactions in Private Equity
- Respond effectively to client queries and provide complete and accurate transactions details
- Adopt a risk based approach and escalate any issues when relevant for risk mitigation and pro-pose solutions
- Ensuring the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of all transactions
- Follow up failed transactions and justify all pending trades, ensures in due time the relevance of explanations linked to discrepancies and that the gaps observed are resolved
- Works closely with other banking services in order to respect the delivery deadlines and respond effectively to clients’ requests
- Ensuring a relevant escalation process when required for risk mitigation, provide investigation es-pecially in case of sensitive/risky items with potential financial impact
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Banking, Business administration or Economics
- Very good understanding of Financial Instruments , Funds and Private Equity
- Good knowledge of Banking activities , Markets, SWIFT
- Knowledge of Corporate Actions and Proxy Voting is considered as an advantage
