 Driven by a sound risk awareness, the ideal candidate will process cash and securities reconciliation of holdings held with external counterparties, perform a second level of controls to confirm the holdings appropriately registered, and follow and report adequately all cash and securities discrepancies. 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Daily reconciliation of dedicated cash and/or securities accounts (accounting versus holdings confirmed by external counterparties).                                     
  • Analysis of holding discrepancies and allocation of outstanding items to concerned business entities. Ensure a close follow-up of breaks and contribute to a timely discrepancies resolution and escalation when needed to the management, with a specific careful attention to riskiest items.             
  • Act together with business entities and external counterparties for specific investigations.         
  • Develop regular contact and build strong relationship with internal clients, business stakeholders and external counterparties.                                         
  • Ensure a good knowledge on the counterparties processes in order to better manage accounts to reconcile.
  • Participate in temporary tasks on physical reconciliation (precious metals and physical shares).     
  • Write operations guidelines in his/her business area.                             
  • Contribute to continuous improvement processes and projects in the scope of the Reconciliation Department.

Knowledge and Experience

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics or similar is an advantage  
  • Experienced less than 5 years in Banking activities  
  • High risk awareness  
  • Good understanding of operational departments and its interactions  
  • Good understanding of operational processes in relation to each business activity within Operations  
  • Good understanding of financial instruments characteristics
