Senior Lending Management Officer

Purpose of the Job / Mission / Objectives

As Lending Management subject matter expert, you will implement credit operations approved by the relevant decision-making bodies and granted to the clients of the bank. You will also assure an adequate follow-up of the credits in place until their repayment. More precisely, you prepare the loan documentation, conduct the taking of securities, and monitor the continuous respect conditions of the credit operations. 

You are actively involved in ad hoc (cross-function) projects of the bank related to lending matters, the development of new products, the active participation in lending matters related to the opening of new branches, review and follow-up on new legislation/regulation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Implement the decisions of the relevant decision-making bodies related to credits and risk-participations 
Perform rigorous follow-up, monitoring and control of credits
Maintain high-levels of collaboration and transparency, with clear communication to clients, stakeholders within the bank and external parties
Provide advice and support to Group subsidiaries and other functions 
Support and develop junior team members in relation to technical lending matters

Knowledge / Experience

Master Degree in the fields Legal, Business, Finance or Economics
Proven relevant experience to analyse credit approvals, performance of credit-related, preparation and drafting of the credit agreements, review and approval of documentation

Take responsibility and deliver to high standards
Strong analytical skills with sound judgement
Well-organized and thorough, with an eye for detail
Ability to adapt to a continuously changing environment
Familiar with working to deadlines in a fast paced function

Technical Skills

Thorough knowledge of credit risk principles, lending products and regulatory considerations in Luxembourg and neighbouring markets (BEL/FR/SP)
MS Office knowledge across Word, Excel, Powerpoint

Language Skills

Fluent in English and French.  Dutch and/or Spanish is an advantage
