Senior Portfolio Manager - Implementation Specialist

The role exists to drive excellence, consistency, and efficiency across portfolio management for segregated Core and model‑based DPM accounts. Acting as a senior contributor and change leader, the role ensures accurate and timely portfolio implementation, strengthens investment communication, supports commercial growth, and helps harmonise portfolio management practices across the Group. Through close collaboration with Investment/Client Advisors, ICS teams, and local CIS functions, the role enhances client outcomes, deepens Core / model-based DPM investment capability adoption, and contributes to strategic business development and transformation.

Key Accountabilities

Portfolio Management Oversight

Ensure the effective set-up, administration and day-day management of segregated Core and model‑based DPM accounts, delivering timely implementation of all required portfolio changes - in and out of cycle, in full compliance with applicable regulations and all internal policies and procedures of the department and the bank.

Leadership in Strategic Transformation

Act as a senior agent of change, leading centralisation initiatives across portfolio management, trading, and cash‑flow activities, including scaling team capacity to match business growth and ensuring the effective management and escalation of risk at all times.  

Process and Efficiency Optimisation

Actively seek and support the design and adoption of innovative solutions to enhance trading processes, alignment of house views, coordination workflows, and cash‑management practices across the Group.

Regularly review and ensure all key portfolio mangement / implementation processes are maintained up-to-date and are appropriately documented.          

Harmonisation of Investment Solutions 

As a senior, active member of the Group Portfolio Implementation Committee (PIC), actively promote greater portfolio strategy and content alignment.

Contribute to the standardisation of portfolio management approaches and efficient value‑chain integration, including support for bespoke portfolio implementation and oversight when needed.

Investment Communication & After‑Sales Content

Support Group PMT and Marketing teams in the development of high‑quality, storytelling‑driven after‑sales content that clearly reflects the house view for Core and House Model‑based DPM strategies, to enable effective advisor–client communication and positioning of the capabilities.                                    

Representation of Investment Capabilities

Act as an ambassador for the Group’s investment expertise by presenting house models, asset allocation, and investment capabilities internally (CIS/CA sessions) and externally (client events/meetings) as required.  

Actively participate in the broader group Investment Process and Specialist communities as may be required. 

Local Market Insight & Feedback Loop

Provide continuous feedback to ICS portfolio management Mgmt. on group-wide Core and Model-Based DPM activity / flows, and share with Group PMT teams local client needs, portfolio construction nuances, and product enhancement opportunities.

Commercial Support & Growth Enablement

Partner with Group PMT teams / peers and CIS / Investment Advisors in the support of new business pitches and portfolio reviews in this segment, helping clients reach their goals through robust investment implementation, and driving Core / Model-Based DPM growth.

Book Transition & Portfolio Simplification

Support efficient Bespoke DPM book transition and simplification of portfolio constraints, through close collaboration and active engagement with Bespoke PM teams to align books with Group strategic objectives.

Cross‑Functional Support & Strategic Projects

Support broader PMT teams (processes and capabilities) and CIS teams with key tasks (benchmarks, pensions trades, ESG documentation) while contributing to or leading cross‑functional strategic initiatives.

Knowledge and Experience

• Higher Education (University / Bachelor)                                
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, Portfolio Manager, Investment Advisor, Analyst, or Client Advisor with a background in portfolio management, global financial markets or multi-asset investing.                                
• Knowledge of Luxembourg’s regulatory and fiscal environment (other European countries such as Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and UK an advantage).                                
• Broad-based Global Financial Markets and / or Portfolio Construction knowledge and experience
