Senior Procurement Officer

Job Summary

Group Procurement is a key department to optimize the cost base of the Group in order to meet the Group strategic target of cost efficiency.

In this context, Group Procurement is also ensuring procurement processes are adequately managed across the Group.

In order to continue the expansion of the Group Procurement Team we are looking for a new team member, specialized in Professional and/or Financial Services.

Job Responsibilities

Manage and develop Category Strategy for Professional or Financial Services (Market Data). Support relevant Quintet functions with a strategic view on procurement in the relevant category.  Coordinate the execution of the strategies with group and local teams.
Manage end to end Procurement process: sourcing, benchmarking, conduct supplier selection, volume consolidation, negotiation, vendor relationship management etc., in close cooperation with the concerned Group or Local functions. 
Contribute to the Bank savings objectives and understand cost drivers, identify and implement cost reduction initiatives.  
Provide the analytical support for developing & measuring category specific metrics (spend, savings...) and for identifying potential areas of cost optimization at Group or Local business unit level.
Coordinate the transformation of Procurement initiatives for the relevant category. 
Support the team by managing Procurement related transversal projects. 
Responsible for compliance with Quintet Procurement Policy and other relevant policies and procedures within the relevant category scope. 
Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of the purchasing module, including interaction  with the internal stakeholders. Support Procure-to-pay process optimization.

Qualifications / Experiences

A minimum of 5 year experience as a Procurement Officer, preferably within the financial sector

Previous experience in Procurement of Professional Services would be an asset

University degree in Economics or Finance

Strong knowledge of the sourcing process (RFI, RFQ, offer analysis, supplier selection, contract analysis, etc.)


Effective negotiation and influencing skills

Strategic thinker with strong operational execution and ability to act as an enabling change officer  

Strong analytical thinking and understanding of financial implications and metrics

Collaborative approach to interact and communicate with stakeholders at various levels of the organization

Proven capacity to manage multiple assignments, set priorities and adapt to changing conditions

Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy  


Fluency in English is mandatory; full working proficiency in French is  highly desirable. Any other language (especially German) would be considered an asset
