We are looking for an Alternative Investments Specialist to join our team and take ownership for a group of alternative products. The successful candidate will work closely with the team and alongside the client and investment advisors to execute strategy and generate business growth. Key Accountabilities


Distribution and Business Growth :


  • Active distribution and marketing of alternative investment products throughout Quintet via calls and meetings to support business growth and revenue targets across all teams through increased penetration of alternative investments in clients’ portfolios
  • Support the dissemination of alternative investment product information to ensure group wide penetration and credibility of the offering, positively contributing to the overall advisor and client experience
  • Educate local teams (client and investment advisors, portfolio managers, etc.) and coordinate constructively with internal stakeholders, sales management, and other relevant teams
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations together with client and investment advisors


Product Management & Investment Research :


  • Actively contribute to the alternative investment process and participate in the selection and structuring of new products.
  • Monitor investments: conduct meetings with managers in line with consultant output, write, share, and store meeting notes and relevant documentation, coordinate follow-ups, organize conferences and roadshows.
  • Participate in all regular alternative investment strategy and investment committee meetings: prepare and present investment opinions, research, and relevant updates.
  • Investment research: Participation in research calls, meetings, conferences to gather market/product information and build/maintain a network. Contribute to Quintet’s Group Counterpoint publications and research papers with alternative investment content (regular and ad-hoc).


Reporting, Servicing & Life Cycle Management :


  • Respond to all ad-hoc advisor and client queries and requests
  • Produce and coordinate proactive investor communication
  • Ensure completeness of investment and product files on shared drives and websites for group wide use
  • Manage product and service agreement procedures

Knowledge and Experience


  • In-depth knowledge, proven track-record and relevant experience with alternative products and private clients, having held similar roles
  • Broad knowledge, comprehension and practice of financial markets and alternative strategies
  • Strong and proven advisory capabilities with excellent communication skills in Alternatives Investments for sophisticated and international clients, such as family offices and UHNW individuals across diverse strategies
  • Ability to listen and create customised solutions as appropriate

Technical Skills


  • Higher education in Finance & Economics (preferably master’s degree) – further industry education (CAIA or CFA) would be a plus
  • Broad knowledge, comprehension and practice of financial markets and alternative strategies, including hedge funds, private equity, private debt, direct real estate and infrastructure
  • Strong and proven advisory capabilities with excellent communication skills 
  • Comfortable presenting and communicating on a regular basis to clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to listen and create customised solutions as appropriate
  • Fluent in English and French (additional European languages would be a plus)

Languages Skills


  • Fluent in English and French - additional languages e.g., German or Dutch would be an advantage
