Purpose of the Job

The local marketing team in Germany implements ideas that increase brand awareness, drive customer growth and ensure that the Merck Finck brand continues to build on its impeccable reputation. As Senior Marketing Manager, you will coordinate and implement marketing plans/initiatives and approaches for the local market. You work independently and purposefully on activities that contribute to increasing customer growth. You are also actively involved in marketing initiatives at Quintet level and support the team in day-to-day administrative activities. 


Key Accountabilities


  • Assisting in the implementation of an effective marketing strategy for the local market in line with the marketing strategy of Merck Finck and Quintet Private Bank 
  • Participation in activities to improve the customer experience and independent implementation of corresponding marketing and communication measures (from digital channels to events), measurement or analysis of the results (e.g. coordination of customer surveys and their evaluation, KPI measurement of online marketing activities and evaluation, as well as the derivation of development potential) 
  • Writing and sending internal and external communications and investment publications (online and offline) 
  • Responsibility and maintenance of the Merck Finck website, the social media channels and the local intranet 
  • Contact person for internal stakeholders, including responsibility for the implementation of own projects (e.g. in cooperation with our Chief Investment Office) 

Knowledge and Experience


  • Completed studies (ideally in marketing, media management, communication or similar) or comparable training 
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a relevant environment 
  • We require a certain degree of resilience, flexibility, entrepreneurial spirit, performance and result orientation 

Attributes and Qualities


  • Ability to familiarize yourself with a very rapidly changing environment and to constantly drive innovations 
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork 
  • Advantage: Affinity for digital marketing, including website analysis, Google Adwords campaigns, experience in optimizing landing pages, search engine optimization (SEO) and user funnels, social media and/or display campaigns 
  • Very good communication skills and high social skills to establish relevant business relationships internally and externally
  • Strategic & creative: An innovative all-round marketing talent with a strategic and tactical way of thinking 

Technical Skills


  • Good MS Office skills in common applications (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Knowledge of CMS an advantage (e.g. Kentico or Wordpress) and other online marketing tools 

Languages Skills


  • Fluent written and spoken German 
  • Very good knowledge of English
