Client Advisor Assistant Hasselt

Purpose of the Job


This function consists in giving commercial and administrative support to one or a team of Client Advisors and their clients in the field of follow-up of client portfolios and relationships. Client Advisor Assistants are a key team member in ensuring superior client experience by providing excellent administrative, commercial and organizational support in all client-related processes. The function requires efficient and effective working methods and mastery of all client related processes.

Key Accountabilities


  • Assisting the Client Advisors and the Desk Head with administrative/organizational arrangements and client processes for optimal support service delivery;
  • Execute administrative banking tasks : account openings and closings, manage debit balances, introduce credit requests, donation requests,…
  • Represent Puilaetco in a highly professional manner in front of Private Banking Clients (mainly by e-mail and phone);
  • Process all client-related orders independently (execute stock exchange orders, payments, opening/closing of accounts);
  • Pro-active engaging in all account related processes, controls, bookings, transfers,… 
  • Dealing with client requests in direct and frequent contact by phone and email; 
  • Assist in the handling and resolution of risk, compliance and document related matters in close collaboration with the specialists of Compliance, Risk, Credits and Back Office; 
  • Take an active role in the sales effort vis-à-vis the clients on a non-strategic level;
  • Deputize Client Advisors and other Assistants during their absences;
  • Take an active role in organizing events and client meeting.

Knowledge and Experience


  • Bachelor/master degree and proven experience in the banking sector preferably in a client facing function (or having a genuine interest in a career in a private banking environment);
  • Attestation PCP (Willems Law – Servicing in the banking sector);
  • Good knowledge of banking tools and of the processes used in a Private Bank front office as well as MS-Office applications;
  • Sound understanding of process and risk related requirements within a complex Private Bank environment. 

Technical Skills


Windows Office (Excel, Power Point, Word), Microsoft Outlook.

Languages Skills


  • Dutch: Fluent;
  • Good understanding of English and French.
