Purpose of the Job


The Head of Business Development is responsible for developing the business development strategy of Puilaetco and initiates/drives business development activities, together with the CA teams.

The Head of Business Development reports directly to the Market Head Business Growth & Transformation.  The Head of Business Development has important insights into how to impact prospect and client behavior.  He/she inspires innovation, finding solutions that enrich our (potential) client’s lives while driving for profitable growth.

The Head of Business Development plays a key role in detecting, attracting, convincing and converting “leads” into “prospects” and “clients” through different channels. He/she has the intellectual curiosity to find and leverage growth areas in order to develop private banking assets for the Bank. 

Key Accountabilities


  • Development and further expansion of the different lead generation channels (online and offline), in close cooperation with the private banking teams and other departments such as marketing
  • Development and coaching of the business development team
  • Developing, implementing and monitoring of lead generation activities, ensuring the conversion of leads in specific target groups. 
  • Approaching intermediaries directly , establishing long-term working relationships with the right intermediaries to serve their end clients, who also belong to Puilaetco’s target groups
  • Using his/her expertise in supporting local business development activities
  • Contributes to the development of value propositions and service offerings for intermediaries and end clients in the target groups
  • Manages all Business Development procedures & processes and changes/improves them when and where necessary 
  • Manages the Business Development plan & budget while creating the reporting needed to support and track the growth

Knowledge and Experience


  • Experience and skills in driving an organization for growth, from a perspective of processes in terms of marketing, sales and product, as well as from a people perspective.
  • Master degree or equivalent by experience.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role.  
  • Experiences in luxury services or financial services industry are an asset
  • Shown expertise in business development techniques and lead generation activities
